The Nigeria Air Force has again said that it regrets the bombing of the Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs camp in Rann, Borno State.
The Nigeria Air Force has again said that it regrets the bombing of the Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs camp in Rann, Borno State.
While tendering apologies to victims of the Rann bombing, NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Vice Marshal Olatokunbo Adesanya, said authorities are working hard to prevent any future incident.
AVM Adesaya stated this today in a two-hour Twitter Chat with Nigerians and the global audience.
Responding a Tweet that sort to know how the NAF had handled the unfortunate July 2017 incidence, the image maker said “The NAF again expresses regrets over the incidence and continues to condole with the families of victims. It is, however, an issue that goes beyond the NAF, which is why DHQ is handling it. DHQ had indeed responded on the matter. #AskTheAirForce,” he said
The NAF is currently engaging humanitarian organisations in the North-east with a view to understanding their programmes and locations of such programmes in order to prevent gaps in communication.”
Today, the NAF information officer engaged Nigerians and the outside world in a two-how Twitter Chat forum in which questions bordering on NAF operations, challenges, capacity building, and personnel management, among others, were asked.
