The Progressives Forum (TPF) has hailed the appointment of Sunusi Musa (SAN) as Chairman of the Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution (IPCR) by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing it as a “fitting and noteworthy” choice.
In a statement signed by its Interim National Chairman, Abuh Andrew, and Interim National Secretary, Segun Tomori, the Forum said the appointment was a well-deserved recognition of Musa’s competence, capacity, and longstanding contributions to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the entrenchment of progressive ideals.
“Sunusi Musa (SAN) has served the All Progressives Congress in various capacities since the party’s formation, in all of which he has distinguished himself as both a political leader and a core technocrat. His elevation to the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria is further testament to his exceptional service to the legal profession and his track record of excellence at the Nigerian Bar,” the Forum stated.
The Forum further described Musa as one of Nigeria’s most accomplished legal luminaries, noting that he has secured numerous landmark legal victories that have shaped jurisprudence and governance in Nigeria.
TPF expressed confidence that Musa’s leadership at the IPCR would enhance the institute’s mandate of promoting peacebuilding and conflict resolution across the country, especially in these critical times.
“This appointment will no doubt inspire party faithful who have remained committed to the ideals of the APC, and who continue to contribute selflessly to the development of the party and the nation,” the statement added.
