In the face of growing tension and untamed expectations, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) delivered a cliched golden performance.
When the national elections began on February 25, 2023, INEC performed at 93% satisfactory. The accomplishment has elated the Nigerian people, who are also optimistic that it will be replicated or, even better, surpassed in the years to come.
It demonstrated capacity as the details of registered voters were methodically checked against the register of voters across the nation, recording an incredible 93 per cent polling unit coverage.

It is expected of INEC to maintain and build upon this throughout its many areas of activity, which is laudable.
