Michael B. Jordan Celebrates First Oscar Win With Low-Key In-N-Out Stop

By Dayo Dare

Michael B. Jordan marked his first Academy Award win with a simple celebration, trading the glamour of Hollywood for a late-night stop at In-N-Out Burger.

The Black Panther and Creed II star won best actor for his role in Sinners, capping off a strong awards season that saw him edge out notable nominees including Timothée Chalamet, Leonardo DiCaprio, Wagner Moura and Ethan Hawke.

Sinners, a supernatural drama set in 1930s Mississippi, has drawn widespread acclaim and box office success, driven largely by Jordan’s dual performance as Smoke and Stack — World War I veterans who return home after a stint in organised crime in Chicago.

In the film, the brothers attempt to open an underground juke joint during the Prohibition era, hoping to build both profit and a sense of community. Their plans, however, take a dark turn when white vampires descend, blurring the line between horror and historical commentary.

Fresh off receiving his Oscar statuette, Jordan kept his celebration understated. Still dressed in his black suit from the ceremony, he stopped at the popular fast-food chain, where he was seen enjoying a cheeseburger with his award placed on the table.

The actor appeared relaxed and in high spirits, smiling as he interacted with staff and signed paper hats during the visit.

The low-key outing offered a sharp contrast to the usual post-Oscars celebrations, highlighting a more personal moment for the newly crowned Academy Award winner.
