Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), Mr Khalil Suleiman Halilu, has reiterated the need for greater investment in creative ecosystems that empower young Africans to transform their talents into thriving industries.
Halilu made the remark during a visit to The Village by Tikera in Abuja, a 30-hectare cultural eco-campus dedicated to nurturing creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship across Africa’s creative sector.
Describing Africa’s ingenuity as limitless, the NASENI boss noted that the continent’s greatest opportunity lies in creating more spaces where creativity can evolve into sustainable industries capable of driving economic growth and job creation.
He commended Tikera Africa for providing young creatives with the skills, mentorship, and opportunities needed to build a vibrant creative economy, stressing that the future belongs to ecosystems that encourage collaboration, unlock talent, and transform ideas into measurable impact.
Halilu added that NASENI’s development strategy is anchored on building innovation ecosystems that enable engineering, manufacturing, technology, and the creative economy to flourish, noting that sustainable development can only be achieved by creating environments where innovation thrives.
He reaffirmed NASENI’s commitment to fostering homegrown innovation and partnerships that unlock Africa’s vast creative and technological potential.
