Kuku Takes Helm at FAAN, Vows Service Excellence in Aviation

Mrs. Olubunmi Oluwaseun Kuku officially took the helm as Managing Director/Chief Executive of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) today, pledging to build upon the agency’s existing strengths and drive service delivery to even greater heights.

“My mission at FAAN is simple: to complement the good work you have all been doing and push FAAN to become a greater institution than it already is,” Kuku declared upon receiving handover notes from the Legal Adviser/Secretary to the Board, Mrs. Gold Bridget Iwinose.

With extensive experience in the aviation sector, Kuku expressed her commitment to enhancing user experience, passenger facilitation, and adherence to the highest standards of safety and security.

“Under my leadership, revenue generation will be optimised and waste will be eliminated as much as possible. Staff welfare will also be a priority but I also expect the staff to be committed to put their best. As every institution is only as powerful as the human resources managing it, we will prioritise the improvement of institutional and human capacity.

Working in collaboration with national and international bodies, we will promote the image of Nigeria and strengthen the network of FAAN,” she added.

Recognizing the upcoming Yuletide rush, Kuku outlined measures to ensure smooth operations during this busy season. “Collaboration with airlines, sister agencies, and partners will be crucial,” she emphasized. “Let us put on our smiles, deliver exceptional service, and make FAAN an airport we can all be proud of.”
