The Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has emerged as the winner of the Saturday’s Presidential Election in the Land of Honour, Ekiti State.
According to early results being collated by INEC, and seen by our correspondent, Mr. Tinubu has won in all the 12 local governments that has been announced so far with a total of 134,503 votes while his closest rival, Atiku Abubakar of PDP, is polling 61,414 votes.
While we await the official declaration of the 4 other local government areas, results collated by agents and observers have shown that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu had a landslide victory in the four local governments.
The residents of the state, particularly Ado-Ekiti the state capital and neighbouring towns, were seen on videos shared on social media on the streets dancing and singing the Asiwaju Mandate anthem and chanting the “Awa Lo Kan” slogan.
It is expected that the APC total votes would be about 200,000 at the end of the official collation with over 60% of total votes, while the Labour Party Candidate, Peter Obi, will manage to get 2.5% of the total votes cast in the state.
