The North South Progressives Alliance (NOSPA) has congratulated the President and Commander in Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima and the All Progressives Congress (APC), on the resounding victory at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal.
The group in a statement released in Abuja by the coordinator, Alwan Hassan described the victory at the tribunal as an affirmation of the popular mandate the Nigerian people gave to the All Progressives Congress and its presidential candidate at the polls in February.
Hassan noted that the Tribunal painstakingly and meticulously evaluated the petitions brought before it by the aggrieved parties and delivered judgment in favour of the rightful winner of the February polls.
According to him, the outcome of the judgement did not come as a surprise as it was glaring to every dispassionate observer that the then APC candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu won the millions of votes if Nigerians.
“The victory of the All Progressives Congress and its Presidential candidate, now President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu did not come to us a surprise. It was clear from the get go that he is the most qualified and accepted candidates among the contenders and that Nigerians have voted for him as a result,” Hassan said.
“I therefore congratulate His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and our Vice President, His Excellency, Kashim Shettima, for the victory at the presidential Election Petition Tribunal.”
“I also congratulate our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), Party leaders, members, supporters and the Nigerian voters for the vindication of their efforts with the landmark judgment .
“I want to use this opportunity to assure the President that the North South Progressives Alliance will continue to provide the necessary support required for him to deliver on his mandate to Nigerians, just as I urged all petitioners and Nigerians alike to accept the judgement and join hands with the Tinubu government in the realization of the Renewed Hope agenda,” Hassan concluded.
