Recruitment of 7,500 Graduates and 5,000 Non Graduates is False – FIRS

The attention of the Management of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has been drawn to a fake news headlined “FG Approves FIRS Recruitment of 7,500 Graduates and 5,000 Non Graduates as Tax Liaison Officers”, which is circulating in the social media and purporting that the FIRS is recruiting.

The FIRS hereby dissociates itself from this fake and fraudulent recruitment notice in its entirety.

It is FAKE NEWS. The FIRS has not sought and therefore did not receive any approval from the Federal Government to recruit any categories of workers into the Service.
The Public is hereby notified that this fake news did not originate from the FIRS. It is the handiwork of scammers and fraudsters who are out to defraud uninformed and unsuspecting job seekers.

For the avoidance of doubt, the FIRS is NOT recruiting any categories of workers into the Service at the moment.

Therefore, the Public is hereby notified that this is a brazen and clear attempt to scam them on the basis of the aforesaid fake recruitment news.
