Tinubu Mourns Victims of Boko Haram Attack in Borno’s Ngoshe Community

President Bola Tinubu has expressed deep sorrow over the terrorist attack carried out by Boko Haram in Ngoshe community, Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State, which claimed several lives.

In a statement issued on Friday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President extended his condolences to the families of those affected by the attack.

Tinubu mourned the loss of innocent civilians, including military personnel, as well as those who died during the aerial interdiction of fleeing terrorists by the Nigerian Air Force.

Describing the incident as a heartless assault on innocent citizens, the President urged residents of Borno State and Nigerians across the country not to give in to fear in the face of terrorist threats.

He commended the military for its swift response to the attack, which led to the killing of several terrorists and forced the attackers to retreat.

The President also directed the armed forces and other security agencies to urgently intensify efforts to rescue individuals abducted during the assault.

Tinubu further instructed security agencies to strengthen measures aimed at protecting civilians nationwide and preventing attacks on military installations in the North-East.

The President prayed for the repose of the souls of those who lost their lives in the attack and the friendly fire incident, while also extending his sympathies to their families and the government of Borno State.
