Reno Blocks Hundreds After Twitter Users Expose His Character
Bemigho Reno Omokri, Nigeria’s suspicious author and self-professed lawyer was the Special Assistant to former President Goodluck Jonathan and was noted for using social media to conduct surveys while attacking opponents of the government is in the news again.
This week Nigerian Twitter was buzzed with the news of how he had used the plight of Leah Sharibu to enrich his purse and this sparked Reno to begin a “Blocking spree” on Twitter.
Thousands of Nigerians took to Twitter to call him out, asking him to account for it. They didn’t just stop there, but went further to reference his many shenanigans and lies from the past. An angry Reno spared no one who questioned him. And they had every reason to do so.
Omokri is the founder of the Free Leah Sharibu Movement – a suspicious media campaign advocating for the freedom of Leah Sharibu, a Christian girl who was kidnapped by the radical Islamic sect, Boko Haram, on February 19, 2018.
Reports online claim that Reno used the movement to enrich himself and fund luxury trips. He has however refuted this claim but with no evidence of how he expended the funds he received on behalf of Leah Sharibu.
Reno has blocked over 200 people so far for asking that he account for the use of these funds. Could the so-called Pastor, notorious for blabbing suddenly have no words to explain how he spent money received in Leah Sharibu’s name, or would he be blaming the devil for his sins?
