With films such as “Wicked”, “Superman”, and “Sinners” making noise at the box office, it’s no surprise that the 2026 Golden Globe nominations are stacked, and A-list actors are leading the pack once again.
On the television side, Noah Wyle earned a nomination for his role in The Pitt’s. Cast members from Adolescence, Black Mirror, The White Lotus, The Bear, The Beast in Me, and Severance also secured spots on the highly competitive list. One surprising twist came in the Best Motion Picture — Musical or Comedy category, where Wicked itself was not nominated, despite stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande landing individual nods for their performances.
This year’s nominations arrive during a major identity overhaul for the Golden Globes. The awards show dissolved its longtime Hollywood Foreign Press Association voting body and introduced new diversity standards — along with new categories.
