#WWDC20: All the Major Highlights
This year’s WWDC, like so many other events, was moved online. The Monday morning WWDC keynote was also being streamed, and Apple has been using the occasion to deliver its usual slate of updates.
Here are the highlights
Mac Will Run on Apple own Chips
Apple is moving from Intel processor to its own ARM-based processor.
The Mac is transitioning to our own Apple Silicon Apple CEO announced on Monday at the Keynote address. The first set of ARM based chips will arrive later this year.
Apple said it will continue to support and release new versions of macOS for Intel-based Macs for years to come.
Apple also introduced macOS Big Sur
iOS 14 updates
App library: The new App Library will automatically organize all your apps in folders. This new feature making it easy to find whatever you’re looking for.
Widgets are also getting a new smart look, as well as the ability to be dragged from the widget panel to your home screen and have option of different sizes
Translate: a new feature designed for real time conversation with people who speak different languages. It works offline to keep conversations private
The Picture in Picture feature lets you continue watching videos while multitasking on your iPhone screen.

AirPods Updates
The most important feature here is the automatic switching. You will soon be able to switch your listening between devices seamlessly, without having to re-pair your pods. They re-route audio to your phone if you have an incoming phone call
Watch OS7
Later this year Apple Watch will get a handwashing and 20 seconds countdown timer to make sure you’re sudsing off all the germs. There would also be a sleep tracker feature which will include a wind-down routine to start locking down your phone before bed and sleep monitoring of micromovements like breathe.
Other new features include new workouts routines, cycling directions and a host of new watch faces, including a tachymeter, large font faces, and new third-party personalized watch faces and face sharing.
Apple delivered on Privacy and Transparency
You will now have the option to share your relative location with apps rather than precise location
Apps store policy will require apps to ask before tracking you across apps and websites. There would also be a notification that indicate when an app access your camera and microphone.
