The Senate President Ahmad Lawan has confirmed the defection of three lawmakers from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The Senate President read out the letter conveying the lawmakers’ intention of moving to the APC during the plenary session on Wednesday. They are:
Senator Sahabi Alhaji Yau, representing Zamfara North Senatorial District.
Senator Lawali Hassan Anka, representing Zamfara West Senatorial District.
Senator Peter Nwaoboshi, representing Delta North Senatorial District
The senators cited the crisis in the country’s main opposition party as the reason for their defection
