The Minister of State for Defence and former Governor of Zamfara State, Dr. Bello Muhammad Matawalle, MON, has received members of the Zamfara State House of Assembly on a courtesy visit to his office at the Ministry of Defence, Ship House, Abuja.
The delegation was led by the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Bilyaminu Isma’il Moriki.
The lawmakers visited to congratulate Matawalle on his appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as Deputy Director, Security and Intelligence, of the 2027 All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council.
Matawalle thanked the Speaker and members of the Assembly for the visit and their goodwill, describing the appointment as another opportunity to contribute to an important national assignment.
He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting ongoing efforts to strengthen security and stability in Zamfara State and across the country, while continuing to discharge his responsibilities as Minister of State for Defence.
The Minister also expressed appreciation for the confidence reposed in him through the appointment and reiterated his commitment to service and the responsibilities entrusted to him.
