66 People Killed in Kaduna, Gov Says Fulani Herdsmen Attacked to Incite Violence

TVC reporting that 66 people have been killed by gunmen in Kajuru Local Government in Kaduna State. In an interview with the State Governor, Malam Nasir el-Rufai, insisted that the 66 people killed were Fulani herdsmen.

Governor el-Rufai observed that the killing was a premeditated move to incite violence in the State with intent at diverting attention away from the presidential and National Assembly elections billed for tomorrow.

Twenty-two children, 12 women and 32 men were reported to have been killed in the attack. Some suspects are said to have been arrested.

The Governor has taken charge of the situation and has called on people of the State to remain calm.
